Williams, Jr., assistant secretary of the Navy for Energy, Installation and Environment, leads a tour of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Station New River, July 14 and July 15, 2020 along with Maj. Gen. Edward D. Banta, commanding general, Marine Corps Installations Command and Rear Adm. John W. Korka, commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Chief of Civil Engineers They were joined for portions of the tour by Congressman Greg Murphy, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District, The visit to MCB Camp Lejeune and MCAS New River allowed military and state leadership to receive an update on military construction from installation leaders and view hurricane related repairs to facilities and family housing currently in progress.
