FAQ

What is FTA and what does it mean?          FTA is failure to appear.  If you miss your court date, we will enter an indefinite suspension of your on-base driving privileges until you appear in Traffic Court.  We do not reschedule you if you are an FTA case.
What does it mean if you are placed on probation?   Probation means that you may drive aboard any federal installation, however, you may not receive any citations while on probation.  If you do, you will reappear in traffic court and your original punishment for the offense that placed you on probation will be enacted plus whatever brings you back to traffic court.
What is the process for getting my driving privileges reinstated?   You must present your drivers license and your CAC or DBIDS card to traffic court personnel.  If your drivers license is not suspended in a State, we will reinstate you.  You must provide a physical license to traffic court in order to be reinstated.
If I am suspended or revoked, can I appeal to get limited driving privileges?   Yes.  If you are a civilian, you may appeal directly to the Traffic Court office.  If you are military, you must appeal to your O-5 or O-6 Commander.  Your AA Form is then sent to the Magistrate’s office for approval.  We will reach out to you to come to our office to pick up the final paperwork.
