MCAS Cherry Point Breaks Ground for Library Facility

Leaders and representatives from Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and Blue Rock Construction participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for military construction Project P253 Cherry Point Library at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, Dec. 4, 2024. The event announced the beginning of construction for a state-of-the-art, 18,000-square-foot facility that will include office spaces, meeting rooms, book racks, computer rooms, reading rooms and a drive-thru cafĂ© and book drop-off. Construction is projected to be complete by late 2026. The library is one of the various projects currently underway to fulfill MCAS Cherry Point’s commitment to ensuring a commensurate quality of life for service members, civilian personnel and their families.
