MCB CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. - Retired Maj. Gen. Rodney Anderson with the North Carolina Military Affairs Commission, speaks during the North Carolina Commander's Council (NCCC) at The Club at Paradise Point on Marine Corps Base Lejeune, North Carolina, May 11, 2023. Military installation commanders from across North Carolina and neighboring states gathered for a quarterly assembly of the NCCC. The event was hosted by the commanding general of Marine Corps Installations East who serves as its chair and consists primarily of North Carolina installation commanders from all services. Invited members include North Carolina Department of Veterans and Military Affairs and the North Carolina Military Affairs Commission. The purpose of the gathering is to foster relationships between commanders and provide a venue to share successes and challenges faced by military members and their families while stationed in North Carolina.
